The challenge

An electrical project can be viewed from several angles: the project itself, the inventory involved in the operation, the people, and the finances. Each perspective matters. Business management needs to give those areas a place within the same company and the work it carries out.

Consider the difference between looking at a project on its own and seeing it within its operational context. Materials belong to inventory. Staff belongs to the organization. Finance has its own responsibilities. The question is how to bring those areas together around the work of an engineering business.

For CEN Ingeniería, we built an ERP that brings those four dimensions together. The development is organized around a specific context: electrical projects and business management, within one working platform. That context gives the software its purpose and defines the areas it brings together.

What we built

The system brings electrical projects, finance, inventory, and staff together. Each area has a place within the ERP and forms part of CEN Ingeniería’s business management scope.

Electrical projects provide the context for the work. Finance and inventory belong to the same environment, alongside a dedicated staff area. The platform connects the project side of the business with the areas that make up the organization.
