02 / The challenge

The challenge

An import inquiry starts with a practical question: what reference do I have to look it up? It might be a vehicle’s VIN, an order number, or a shipment reference. The information available changes depending on who is asking and which part of the operation they are coming from.

For someone working with imported vehicles or heavy equipment, that first difference matters. A lookup interface needs to accommodate the references people actually use and give them a clear entry point. That is the task at the center of LOCCITEC Torre de Control.

03 / What we built

What we built

The lookup field accepts a VIN, order, or shipment reference. A person can begin with the reference they know and use it within the same tracking interface. There are three ways to start the inquiry and one common entry point.

The focus is imported vehicles and heavy equipment. That gives the system a recognizable purpose: accepting an import reference in the vocabulary used by the people who need to look it up. The scope and the main task are clear from that first interaction.

04 / Project scope

Project capabilities

  1. VIN, order, or shipment lookup

  2. Tracking imported vehicles and heavy equipment

What we built

  • VIN, order, or shipment: three supported reference types for beginning an inquiry with the information available.

  • Imported vehicles and heavy equipment: a specific scope that gives the lookup field its context.

  • One tracking interface that brings these references together around a common starting task.
